Plot

A law student Bharti and her widowed and blind father enjoy an affluent lifestyle in India. Ravi Shankar Singh, a singer/dancer, is a fan of hers, and often attends his music concerts. She is astonished to see him detained and being escorted by the police. Inquiring further, she discovers that Ravi has confessed to murdering a guy called Rana Singh and is about to be hung. Then she attends Ravi’s final concert, at which point Ravi abducts and forcefully marries her. After the marriage, Ravi is caught and brought to court, where it is revealed that Ravi and Bharti planned together to commute Ravi’s death sentence to life imprisonment. The Court is not persuaded and maintains Ravi’s death sentence. See how this affects Ravi, his widowed mother, his former girlfriend, Kalpana, and Bharti herself.
